Jeff Broomfield
Director and Independent Fertiliser Consultant
A farmer at heart with a scientific and mathematical mind, Jeff has spent his career using and tweaking biological and sustainable fertilisers to improve soil balance, increase animal health and grow nutrient dense produce. Working in partnership on the family farm from his mid-twenties, and solely for the last twenty years, Jeff has weathered a mass of farming cycles from good to bad, including diversification and experimentation. In the early 2000’s Jeff was involved in Healthy Soils and prior to that was a sales rep for Foliarfeed fertiliser. Over this time he was and still is involved in extensive trial work carried out by Dr Peter Espie.
Jeff has an excellent knowledge base, sound and tested ideology and extensive experience giving him an edge as an independent technical advisor and consultant to groups and individual farming enterprises. A lover of fine food, whiskey and family, Jeff is generous with his advice and takes pride in watching farmers and the likes succeed.
